Chris Ashton

Chris Ashton is a senior developer in the BBC’s Visual Journalism department, specialising in creating front-end architectures that scale.

He built their wrapper-based project generator which all new projects are built upon, enabling the delivery of content to millions of people on the web, native apps and platforms such as AMP.

When he’s not writing tech articles or building side-projects on AWS, his passion is music. Chris enjoys composing, singing in the BBC Symphony Chorus, and is currently learning the piano.
